Agility
Agility is a sport in which a dog/handler team safely and expediently negotiates an obstacle course consisting mostly of jumps, tunnels, and climbing obstacles. Agility dogs are made, not born and training any dog in agility can be beneficial. For the timid or young dog, agility boosts confidence; for the very confident dog, agility teaches a balance between speed and control. For every dog, agility enhances the teamwork with its owner. Overall Class Objectives of Agility
Instructors: BKC Members - Multi-level trainers with expertise and experience in competitive agility. "Puppy Agility"This course will focus on exposing both of you to safety on the equipment and around other puppies, and will begin an introduction to the fundamentals of agility. Puppies participating must be at least 3 months of age (maximum age is 7 months), be comfortable on leash with a flat-buckle collar (non-choke), and not exhibit any aggression towards other dogs. Ideal candidates have participated and/or completed a "Puppy Socialization" class.
